Pahne Sar, a one day program

Pahne Sar,

a one day program

Climbing up to PahneSar Peak is a one day program,

Friday 02, July, 2004

We started from Sangan village which is on the same road to Soleghun and Kan at 7am, after passing through a gate and paying 2000 rials, we parked the car in the parking the villagers have prepared. After half an hour you will get to Emamzadeh Ghasem with a very big TOOT Tree in the central area, took some water and continued, soon we reached a 2 way (2rahi), the right one leads you to Sangun Peak and we took the left way that goes to Sangan water fall and PahneSar Peak.

There are Cherry, Black cherry and Nut tree gardens all the way to Water Fall, the route is green and beautiful, some people prefer to walk down the valley and beside the river, although this takes more time because of frequently crossing the river.

It was 9 am when we reached to Sangan Water Fall, it is of about 30 meters height, water falls down on the stone floor, sprayed and splashed everywhere making the atmosphere cool and very pleasant. We ate breakfast and rested till 10 pm.

We started again at 10am from the eastern side of the fall, climbing up a stone area of about 30 meters, on top of the fall we should take the eastern route which has a very high up hill, on top of it there is a vast and beautiful area, if you look to North AzadKuh and down the valley the village Khor could easily be seen, from now we carry on to the west through a rock area towards the peak, this took us about an hour from here to the top which is very vast and big as its name suggests (Pahne Sar), we stayed on the top for 20 minutes, prepared a tea and started coming back.

On the way back and inside the rock area we found 3 youngsters, a girl and 2 boys grounded in pretty bad condition, totally dehydrated, low sugar and shaking hands, they had nothing with themselves, we immediately gave water, sugar, salt, citron and chocolate to them and accompanied them down the way to the fall, if we had not seen them by chance, their situation could have been quite critical and dangerous.we reached to the fall at 3pm, ate lunch all together, drank a lot of water and started again to the village at 4pm, the last part took us about an hour and a half till we got to parking, on the way back we stopped in Emamzadeh again to wash our face and hands and takeing some water.we are happy we found these 3 climbers and that we could be of some assistance to them.
